Our Mission
Blackville-Hilda Public Schools is a district where...
High Expectations lead to
Academic Achievement in an atmosphere
Where failure is not an option,
Knowledge leads to excellence and
Success prevails.

The Blackville-Hilda Public School Board has selected three candidates as finalist.

The three finalists are (in alphabetical order):

 ·         Dr. Henry Cobb (Executive Director for Public Information and Human Resources,                                                Marlboro County School District)

·         Mr. David Corder (Director of Federal Programs, Blackville-Hilda School District)

·         Dr. Shawn L. Johnson (Principal, Dillon High School, Dillon School District Four)

The board made its selection of three finalists after a thorough review of 27 applicants and interviews with 8 of those applicants on February 1, 2, and 3.   Chairman Hagood said, "The board was pleased with the large number of qualified candidates that showed interest in leading our district.”

Chairman Hagood says the board looks forward to the next phase of presenting the candidates to the public and introducing them to district staff on March 3.  The three candidates will be in the district to meet staff on the same day.  There will be a community reception from 4:30 – 5:30 to give parents, staff and community members a chance to meet the candidates.  Each candidate will have a final interview with the board that evening. The board plans to announce the superintendent in March.
