Daily Announcements

REPORT CARDS ISSUED

On Monday, October 27, there will be no school for students. This day is REPORT CARD and PARENT CONFERENCE DAY and teachers will be at school from noon - 7 p.m to speak with parents. Do not forget. Mark your calendars and stop by to check on your child's progress and pick up his/her report card.

BASKETBALL PHYSICALS

Any young lady that has not had a physical to play on the girls' basketball team needs to do so as quickly as possible.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
and
BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH

Our faculty, staff and students are working towards increasing awareness of the breast cancer disease, and are campaigning to prevent bullying within our school and community.

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

REGISTRATION REMAINS OPEN

It is not too late for students to participate in this afterschool program which operates from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.. Students receive assistance in tutoring, homework assistance, character and leadership development, health and life skills and much more.  Free daily transportation is provided.  If interested, please pick up an application from Mrs. Shugerts in the front office. 




BLACKVILLE-HILDA HIGH SCHOOL WINS PALMETTO GOLD AWARD

The Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards program, founded in 1998, recognizes schools for general performance and closing the achievement gap.  Blackville-Hilda High School has been named a Palmetto Gold recipient for closing the achievement gap by SC Education Oversight Committee for the 2013-2014 school term.  Only 53% of schools in the state of South Carolina qualified as top performers for the Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards program for the term.

TUTORING IS PROVIDED

Students who are having difficulties with their classwork and/or homework and who need extra help MUST attend tutoring sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20 - 4:15  p.m.

Have you misplaced your yearbook, or were you not able to buy one while in school? Now is your opportunity to obtain an old yearbook at a bargain price. If you are looking for a more recent yearbook at the price of $25, please contact Ms. Felder at (803) 284-5700.
