HOMECOMING PEP RALLY

Would you like to see Mr. Lamback, Mr. Harris, Mr. DeWitt, Mr. Douglas or Ms. Bennett perform the Ice Bucket Challenge during the homecoming pep rally? If so, during lunch locate a senior class officer and contribute your change and dollars. You do not want to miss the opportunity to see your favorite administrator/teacher get doused with ice water. Remember, the one who receives the most donations will get wet!

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

REGISTER NOW!

Students are encouraged to participate in this afterschool program which will begin on Tuesday, September 2 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Students will receive assistance in tutoring, homework assistance, character and leadership development, health and life skills and much more.  Free daily transportation will be provided.  If interested, please pick up an application from Mrs. Shugerts in the front office. 




BLACKVILLE-HILDA HIGH SCHOOL WINS PALMETTO GOLD AWARD

The Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards program, founded in 1998, recognizes schools for general performance and closing the achievement gap.  Blackville-Hilda High School has been named a Palmetto Gold recipient for closing the achievement gap by SC Education Oversight Committee for the 2013-2014 school term.  Only 53% of schools in the state of South Carolina qualified as top performers for the Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards program for the term.

TUTORING IS PROVIDED

Students who are having difficulties with their classwork and/or homework and who need extra help MUST attend tutoring sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20 - 4:15  p.m.

Have you misplaced your yearbook, or were you not able to buy one while in school? Now is your opportunity to obtain an old yearbook at a bargain price. Please contact Ms. Taylor at (803) 284-5720 if you are in need of a yearbook from years 2001 - 2006 at a price of $20. If you are looking for a more recent yearbook at the price of $25, please contact Ms. Felder at (803) 284-5700.
